Mandaue City Police and PDEA Nab Drug Suspect, Seize PHP30.6 Million in Shabu

In a significant blow to drug trafficking in Mandaue City, Cebu, a collaborative effort between the Mandaue City Police Station and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) led to the arrest of a 28-year-old man known as ‘Kent’ from Barangay Pasil, Cebu City. The operation, which took place on Logarta Street, Subangdaku, at around 7:38 p.m. on Friday, resulted in the seizure of 4.5 kilograms of suspected shabu, valued at PHP30.6 million on the street. The drugs were found in nine packs and have been handed over to the PNP Regional Forensic Unit for detailed chemical analysis and proper management. The suspect is currently held at the Mandaue City Police Station, facing charges under the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act, Republic Act 9165. This successful operation underscores the ongoing efforts of law enforcement to curb the drug menace in the region.
