In a significant law enforcement operation in Caloocan City, a member of the notorious Alcantara gun-for-hire gang was apprehended on Saturday. The suspect, known by the alias ‘Tomboy,’ is one of the top three most wanted individuals by the Northern Police District (NPD). He was captured in the Marulas B area of Barangay 36, following a warrant issued by Regional Trial Court Branch 129, which did not recommend bail due to the severity of the charges against him.
Col. Josefino Ligan, the Acting Director of NPD, reported that ‘Tomboy’ is implicated in murder and has ties to drug trafficking and gun-for-hire activities. Alongside ‘Tomboy,’ five others were arrested for illegally possessing firearms. The police confiscated a range of weapons during the operation, including a Bushmaster Rifle, two Glock pistols, and a Taurus PT 1911 pistol, along with their ammunition.
This operation underscores the ongoing efforts of the NPD to dismantle criminal networks and reduce the circulation of illegal firearms in the region.
