In a stroke of luck, a single ticket purchased in Iloilo has clinched the Super Lotto 6/49 jackpot, amounting to a staggering PHP18 million. The winning ticket, which matched the numbers 19-48-15-11-07-24, was sold at an outlet in Sta. Barbara, Iloilo City, as announced by the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) on Friday. This marks the third consecutive day that a jackpot has been won in the state lottery games.
Winners have a one-year window from the draw date to claim their prizes, as stipulated by Republic Act 1169. All major prizes must be collected at the PCSO’s main office located on Shaw Boulevard in Mandaluyong City. It’s worth noting that winnings exceeding PHP10,000 are subject to a 20 percent tax, as per the Tax Reform for Acceleration and Inclusion law.
In addition to the jackpot winner, 26 other bettors won PHP50,000 each for correctly guessing five out of the six numbers. A further 1,531 individuals will receive PHP1,200 each for four correct numbers, while 25,427 will take home PHP50 each for three correct numbers.
The Super Lotto 6/49 is drawn three times a week, on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays. PCSO General Manager Melquiades Robles encouraged the public to continue supporting the agency’s gaming products, which help generate funds for health programs, medical services, and other national charities. The PCSO’s contributions play a crucial role in supporting those in need of medical assistance and funding various government institutions.
