In the latest Tugon ng Masa survey conducted by OCTA Research from November 10 to 16, 2024, President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. continues to enjoy robust public support, maintaining trust and satisfaction ratings above 60 percent in the fourth quarter. Despite a slight decrease from the previous quarter’s figures, Marcos Jr. secured a 65 percent trust rating and a 64 percent performance rating. OCTA highlighted that the majority of Filipinos still trust and are content with the President’s performance. Marcos Jr.’s strongest support comes from Balance Luzon and higher socio-economic classes ABC and D. Senate President Francis Escudero and House Speaker Martin Romualdez also maintain majority trust with ratings of 63 percent and 58 percent respectively, with Escudero achieving a 65 percent satisfaction score and Romualdez at 59 percent. In contrast, Chief Justice Alexander Gesmundo’s ratings remain low at 10 percent trust and 8 percent satisfaction. On the other hand, Vice President Sara Duterte experienced a significant drop in her ratings, with her trust rating falling to 49 percent and her performance rating to 48 percent, marking her lowest ratings since December 2023. This decline represents the first time Duterte’s ratings have dipped below the majority threshold, reflecting a continuing downward trend. Duterte’s best performance was noted in Mindanao and among Class E respondents. The survey, which involved face-to-face interviews with 1,200 respondents, has a margin of error of ±3 percent at the national level.
