MANILA – According to the latest forecast from the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA), the easterly winds combined with the northeast monsoon are set to bring varying degrees of rainfall across the Philippines. The Davao Region, Caraga, and Soccsksargen are expected to see cloudy conditions with scattered rains and thunderstorms, influenced by the easterlies. PAGASA has cautioned that these areas could be at risk of flash floods or landslides due to the potential for heavy downpours. In contrast, Metro Manila, along with the Ilocos and Cordillera regions, Cagayan Valley, Central Luzon, and Calabarzon, will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with only isolated light rains, thanks to the northeast monsoon. The remainder of the country can anticipate partly cloudy to cloudy conditions with sporadic rain showers or thunderstorms, also due to the easterlies. PAGASA also reported that moderate winds and seas are expected in Northern and Central Luzon, while the rest of the Philippines will see light to moderate winds and slight to moderate sea conditions.
