Police Operations in Manila and Pampanga Net Over PHP8 Million in Illegal Drugs

In a series of successful anti-drug operations over the weekend, law enforcement agencies in Manila and Pampanga apprehended five suspects and seized illegal drugs valued at over PHP8 million. In Manila, a 40-year-old individual was arrested during a buy-bust operation in Barangay 513, Sampaloc, where authorities seized 44 kilograms of suspected dried marijuana, estimated to be worth PHP5.28 million. The operation also led to the recovery of buy-bust money and a sack used to hide the drugs. Meanwhile, in Pampanga, four suspects, including a high-value target, were captured in Barangay Cabetican, Bacolor. The police confiscated 402 grams of shabu, valued at PHP2.73 million, along with firearms, ammunition, and a vehicle. All suspects are now facing charges related to drug offenses. Police officials from both regions have vowed to intensify their efforts against illegal drugs and have called on the community to assist by reporting any suspicious activities.
