Rosmar Tan, Social Media Star, Withdraws from Manila Councilor Race

Rosmar Tan, a well-known social media influencer and businesswoman, has decided to step back from her candidacy for a councilor position in Manila’s first district for the upcoming May 12 elections. The announcement came on Thursday when Tan, who is currently three months pregnant, visited the Office of the Election Officer in Manila to officially withdraw her candidacy. Tan had initially filed her candidacy on October 1, 2024. In addition to her online fame, she is also a successful entrepreneur with ownership in various businesses, including restaurants and a salon. Explaining her decision on social media, Tan stated, ‘I’ve said that if I got pregnant then that means I should not run, now here it is, I’m three months with my third baby.’
