President Marcos Jr. Optimistic About PFP Candidates’ Success in Midterm Elections

President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. expressed strong confidence in the capabilities and integrity of the candidates from the Partido Federal ng Pilipinas (PFP) during the PFP Leaders’ Convergence Summit held at The Manila Hotel on January 31, 2025. Marcos, who also serves as the national chairperson of the PFP, is hopeful for a complete victory for the party’s candidates in the upcoming midterm elections, particularly those running for senatorial positions.

Marcos praised the high caliber of PFP members and candidates, stating that the party’s leadership believes none of their candidates should lose due to their exceptional quality. He emphasized that the PFP has assembled the most effective public servants in the country, united under the party’s banner and its broader alliance.

The summit was attended by notable PFP senatorial candidates such as Senate Majority Leader Francis Tolentino, former Interior and Local Government Secretary Benjamin Abalos Jr., and former senator Manny Pacquiao. The event brought together over 1,300 party members, including current and aspiring officials from various key regions like Metro Manila, Calabarzon, and Central Luzon, to discuss and solidify future plans.

Marcos stressed the importance of leading with integrity, accountability, and a strong commitment to public service. He highlighted the summit’s role in fostering unity and collaboration among leaders to ensure that policies and initiatives align with the needs of the Filipino people and the vision of a ‘New Philippines.’

In a subsequent media interview in Pasay City, Marcos expressed his belief that the high public satisfaction with his administration would positively influence the electoral prospects of the PFP’s senatorial candidates.
