A lucky individual from Metro Manila has hit the jackpot, winning a staggering PHP32 million in the MegaLotto 6/45 draw held on Monday. The winning ticket was sold at Lucky Circle Corporation, located in Unimart, Capitol Commons, Pasig. The winning numbers that changed the bettor’s life were 31-04-17-07-19-27.
The Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) confirmed the win on Tuesday, stating that the winner has a year to collect their prize of PHP32,244,545.60 from the PCSO’s main office in Mandaluyong City. However, the winner will need to pay a 20 percent tax on their winnings. To claim the prize, the winner must present the winning ticket along with two valid forms of identification.
In addition to the jackpot winner, 82 other bettors won PHP32,000 each for matching five out of the six numbers. Another 2,963 players will take home PHP1,000 each for correctly guessing four numbers, and 36,745 players will receive PHP30 for matching three numbers.
The 6/45 Mega Lotto is drawn three times a week, on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. The PCSO encourages the public to participate in its games, as the proceeds help fund health programs, medical services, and other charitable causes across the nation.
