Three Major Anti-Drug Raids Result in Five Arrests and Seizure of PHP14 Million in Shabu

In a series of coordinated anti-drug operations across Metro Manila and Pampanga, law enforcement agencies successfully apprehended five suspects and seized illegal drugs valued at PHP14 million. The operations, which took place between February 4 and 5, 2025, involved multiple agencies and targeted high-value individuals involved in the drug trade.

In Caloocan City, a joint operation by the Northern Police District-District Drug Enforcement Unit and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency led to the arrest of three high-value targets during a buy-bust operation at 12:10 a.m. on Thursday. The suspects, known by the aliases ‘Tomboy’, ‘Meng’, and ‘Halem’, were found in possession of 1,170 grams of shabu, estimated to be worth PHP7.96 million. They are set to face charges under the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 at the Caloocan City Prosecutor’s Office. NCRPO chief Brig. Gen. Anthony Aberin praised the operation as a significant blow to the drug trade.

In Manila, another operation conducted by the PDEA resulted in the arrest of a 35-year-old suspect, alias ‘Salik’, who was caught with 500 grams of shabu valued at PHP3.4 million. The arrest occurred inside a fast food restaurant at 2 p.m. on Wednesday. The suspect is currently detained at the PDEA Region 4-A custodial facility in Santa Rosa City, Laguna, awaiting charges.

In Pampanga, the Police Regional Office-3 arrested another high-value individual, alias ‘Ben’, around 11:45 p.m. on February 4 in Barangay San Jose, Magalang town. The operation led to the seizure of 410 grams of shabu worth PHP2.8 million. Brig. Gen. Jean Fajardo of PRO3 commended the operatives for their relentless efforts and emphasized the government’s unwavering commitment to combating the drug menace. She warned those still involved in the drug trade that their time is running out.

These operations underscore the government’s intensified efforts to dismantle drug networks and ensure the safety and well-being of communities across the region.
