In a robust effort to combat crime, the Quezon City Police District (QCPD) apprehended 282 individuals during a week-long operation spanning February 9 to 15. Acting Director Col. Melecio Buslig Jr. reported that the arrests included a diverse group of offenders: 134 wanted individuals, 101 illegal gamblers, 41 drug suspects, and six people caught with illegal firearms. The crackdown involved 27 anti-drug operations, leading to the seizure of drugs valued at PHP580,244 and the arrest of the 41 drug suspects. Additionally, 42 operations targeted illegal gambling, resulting in the arrest of 101 gamblers and the confiscation of PHP35,695 in betting money. The campaign against wanted persons was also successful, with 71 other wanted persons and 63 most wanted persons taken into custody. Col. Buslig confirmed that the courts have been informed of these arrests.
