·

In a significant move to safeguard the upcoming midterm elections, the entire Philippine Army, comprising 115,000 troops, will collaborate with the Philippine National Police (PNP). Lt. Gen. Roy Galido, the head of the Philippine Army, emphasized the commitment of all soldiers to the success of this democratic process. While not all will be on the front lines, many will be involved in gathering and disseminating crucial information to relevant agencies to ensure a smooth electoral process. Galido highlighted that army units are being prepared to support both the PNP and the Commission on Elections (Comelec), particularly in areas identified as critical. The deployment of troops is proceeding smoothly as the election date approaches, according to Galido.
