MANILA – The Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) has announced an open call for applicants eager to enroll in the Aeronautical Information Service Comprehensive Course (AISCC). This initiative is part of CAAP’s ongoing efforts to bolster the safety and security of the aviation sector in the country.

CAAP Director General Manuel Tamayo emphasized the importance of the course in a recent news release, stating, “The CAAP encourages all interested individuals to step forward and play a vital role in enhancing the safety and security of our aviation industry.” He further explained that the role of Aeronautical Information Service personnel is critical in ensuring the accuracy and timely dissemination of aeronautical data, which is essential for safe air navigation.

The responsibilities of an Aeronautical Information Service personnel include the collection, processing, and distribution of crucial data and information that is used by air navigation and flight operations personnel. This data is pivotal in ensuring that flights operate safely and efficiently.

Prospective applicants can find detailed qualifications and requirements for the course on CAAP’s official social media platforms. These platforms provide comprehensive information to help potential candidates understand the prerequisites and prepare their applications accordingly.

Completed application forms must be submitted either in person or through courier services to designated centers located in Manila, Mactan, or Davao. The deadline for submission is set for June 20 at 5 p.m., giving applicants ample time to gather necessary documents and meet the requirements.

Following the application period, a nationwide examination for qualified applicants is scheduled for July 19. Successful candidates will then proceed to an interview and a medical examination at a later date, as outlined by CAAP. These steps are designed to ensure that only the most qualified individuals are selected to join the course and eventually contribute to the aviation sector.

This call for applicants is a significant opportunity for those passionate about aviation safety and looking to make a meaningful impact in the industry. By joining the AISCC, participants will gain the skills and knowledge necessary to support the safe and efficient operation of air navigation services across the Philippines.
