The Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development (DHSUD) has once again cautioned the public about fraudulent schemes linked to the Pambansang Pabahay Para sa Pilipino Housing (4PH) Program. These scams involve individuals and groups soliciting money from unsuspecting victims, particularly targeting overseas Filipino workers (OFWs).
DHSUD Secretary Jose Rizalino Acuzar emphasized that the department does not accept investors for 4PH projects. He clarified that no office or individual within DHSUD is authorized to engage in transactions related to such investment schemes. Acuzar labeled these solicitations as either fake news or outright scams.
The public is encouraged to report any suspicious activities or individuals claiming to be 4PH agents directly to DHSUD or their local government units (LGUs). Acuzar assured that all reports would be treated confidentially and promised strict legal action against those exploiting the 4PH program.
He reiterated DHSUD’s commitment to not tolerating any illegal activities that could undermine the ongoing implementation of the 4PH program across the country. For reporting any suspicious solicitations or other illegal activities related to 4PH, contact DHSUD at (02) 8424-4070 or email [email protected].
