CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY – The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) is encouraging pregnant women and parents with children under two in Northern Mindanao to sign up for the ‘i-Registro’ system. This registration will make them eligible for cash grants beginning in January 2025. Oliver Inodeo, the DSWD Region 10 focal person, announced that the registration is available to participants of the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps). According to Inodeo, the registration will help the program to pinpoint and distribute the first 1,000 days grant starting next year. To register, beneficiaries need to work with their designated City or Municipal Links. Those who qualify will receive an extra PHP350 monthly grant, which is designed to support the first 1,000 days of an infant’s development as part of the Kalusugan Mag-Nanay Act. Inodeo emphasized that this initiative is crucial for ensuring the healthy growth of infants during their first 1,000 days.
