In a significant drug bust in Cebu City, a 20-year-old criminology student, aspiring to be a law enforcement officer, was apprehended on Sunday night. The operation, conducted in Barangay Duljo-Fatima, led to the seizure of PHP7.5 million worth of suspected shabu from the student, identified only as ‘Cali’. The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA)-Central Visayas executed the buy-bust operation at Sitio San Vicente, C. Padilla St., where Cali, a resident of nearby Sitio Puntod, was taken into custody. Cali, who had been identified as a high-value target at the regional level, is believed to have supplied illegal drugs to other suspects involved in prior arrests. The 1.1 kilograms of shabu confiscated from him has led to Cali facing serious drug charges.
