In a commendable effort to enhance the health of young learners, the Albay Dairy Plant (ADP) has begun distributing pasteurized milk to more than 2,600 elementary students across four schools in Camalig town. The initiative, which kicked off on Tuesday, January 21, 2025, was warmly received by local officials and the community alike.
Mayor Carlos Irwin Baldo Jr. of Camalig expressed his gratitude towards the provincial government of Albay for their continuous support and dedication to the welfare of the town’s children. The mayor highlighted the significance of the milk-feeding program in promoting nutrition and better health among the students.
The distribution was strategically organized with four designated drop-off points to streamline the process and ensure that the milk reaches the students efficiently. The schools benefiting from this program include Camalig North Central School, Camalig South Central School, Cotmon Elementary School, and Iluluan Elementary School.
Mayor Baldo also called for further assistance to reach more students in Albay, emphasizing the province’s role as an active partner in student well-being. The Albay Dairy Plant, known for its milk products, continues to play a crucial role in supporting local educational and health initiatives.
