The Davao City Police Office (DCPO) has outlined extensive security measures to guarantee a peaceful Chinese New Year celebration on January 29, 2025. Acting Director Col. Hansel Marantan emphasized that police officers will be strategically positioned across the city to uphold peace and order during the festivities. Items such as firecrackers, fireworks, backpacks, alcoholic drinks, laser pointers, guns, and sharp objects are banned to prevent any disturbances. Marantan stressed the DCPO’s dedication to ensuring the safety of all attendees at Rizal Park during the celebrations. He urged participants to stay alert and aware of their surroundings, aiming for a safe, significant, and unforgettable event.
