The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) is enhancing the entrepreneurial skills of micro and small enterprises in Negros Occidental through the Kapatid Mentor ME-Money Market Encounter (KMME-MME) Online program, in collaboration with the Philippine Center for Entrepreneurship (PCE). Gabriel Advincula, the provincial KMME coordinator, announced that applications for the upcoming multi-sectoral batch are open until February 7, 2025. Successful applicants will participate in a comprehensive 10-week mentorship program running from March to June, aimed at scaling up their businesses at no cost.
The program features weekly coaching sessions led by PCE-accredited mentors, focusing on enhancing the mentees’ access to mentorship, financial resources, and market opportunities. The curriculum includes modules on developing an entrepreneurial mindset, marketing strategies, and detailed business model canvases covering market segments, customer relationships, channels, value propositions, key resources, partnerships, activities, revenue streams, and cost structures.
Additional topics covered in the program include operations management, digitalization, supply and value chain management, human resources, accounting and finance, product development, market expansion, internationalization, and business law. Last September, 11 mentees from Negros Occidental successfully completed the KMME-MME Online program, demonstrating their progress through comprehensive Business Improvement Plan presentations.
The KMME-MME Online initiative is a digital adaptation of the regular Kapatid Mentor ME Program and the Money Market Encounter, designed to support micro, small, and medium enterprises in overcoming the challenges posed by the Covid-19 pandemic.
