Mass Promotion Ceremony Elevates Over 1,400 Bicol Police Officers

In a significant event held at the Tagapagpatupad multi-purpose building in Albay province, over 1,400 officers from the Police Regional Office in Bicol (PRO-5) were elevated to higher ranks on Thursday, February 6, 2025. The ceremony, attended by families, PRO-5 command, and officials from the National Police Commission (Napolcom), saw the officers taking their oaths and officially receiving their new ranks.

The promotions spanned various ranks, including 14 majors, two captains, 34 lieutenants, 151 executive master sergeants, 195 chief master sergeants, 88 senior master sergeants, 454 master sergeants, 51 staff sergeants, and 418 corporals. This mass promotion is part of the 2024 Regular Promotion Program aimed at recognizing the dedication and outstanding service of second-level uniformed personnel in the region.

Brig. Gen. Andre Dizon, Director of PRO-5, congratulated the newly promoted officers, highlighting that their new ranks are not only an honor but also a significant responsibility. He praised their hard work, dedication, and commitment, noting that their promotions are a testament to their sacrifices and pursuit of excellence.

Dizon further emphasized that the promotion is more than a mere reward; it is a challenge to exceed expectations, lead with integrity, and serve with increased passion and purpose.
