WrkPod, Inc., a business process outsourcing company with a decade-long presence in the Philippines, is set to enhance its operations in Dumaguete City, Negros Oriental. The company announced the opening of 600 to 800 new positions at its latest facility in the PHCCI Capital building during a press conference on February 6, 2025. Kody Thompson, co-founder and CEO of WrkPod, shared the news alongside Dave Beaumont and PHCCI CEO Cliffordson Lariosa.
The new site, which will be operational by March, occupies the 4th to 8th floors and the rooftop of the PHCCI Capital building, leased for 15 years. Thompson highlighted the significant impact these jobs will have on the local community, emphasizing the untapped potential in the province for recruitment.
WrkPod’s expansion in Dumaguete marks its fourth location in Negros Oriental, complementing its existing sites in Cebu City and Bacolod City. The company currently employs around 900 people across its four sites in Negros Oriental. WrkPod facilitates direct connections between employers and Filipino talent, offering services in recruitment and outsourcing.
The company is currently hiring for various roles including accountants, lawyers, marketing professionals, business entrepreneurs, and content creators. Thompson stressed the absence of intermediaries in their employment model, allowing for direct employer-employee interactions.
PHCCI CEO Cliffordson Lariosa expressed enthusiasm about the partnership with WrkPod, noting that the building was initially designed for a hotel. He underscored the alignment of missions between PHCCI and WrkPod, both focused on improving people’s lives. Lariosa also mentioned that PHCCI aims to offer financial opportunities to WrkPod employees through cooperative membership.
The PHCCI Capital building will also feature amenities for WrkPod employees, with the ground floor available for lease to businesses like coffee shops and canteens. PHCCI will utilize the 2nd floor for its corporate office, while the 3rd floor will serve as a rental conference room.
