In a robust effort to combat drug trafficking, the Davao City police force apprehended 11 suspects and seized illegal drugs valued at PHP7.2 million during a series of operations conducted over the weekend. The most significant haul was executed by the Police Station-Toril (PS-8), which confiscated drugs worth PHP6.93 million. Additional seizures were reported by various stations: PS4-Sasa recovered PHP282,540; PS11-Baguio, PHP17,316; PS2-San Pedro, PHP4,964; PS10-Calinan, PHP8,432; and the City Drug Enforcement Unit, PHP3,740. Acting Director Col. Hansel Marantan of the Davao City Police Office credited the community’s active participation and information sharing for the success of these operations, which were completed within a 24-hour period. Marantan expressed gratitude for the public’s cooperation and encouraged ongoing vigilance to sustain peace and order in the city.
