Nueva Ecija Police Crack Down on Crime, Arrest 11 and Seize Drugs and Guns

In a series of operations across Nueva Ecija on Monday, February 10, 2025, local police apprehended 11 individuals and confiscated illegal drugs and firearms. The operations spanned multiple cities and towns, showcasing a broad sweep against criminal activities in the region.

Among those arrested was the eighth most wanted person in San Jose City, captured in Barangay Tulat on charges of estafa. Additional arrests were made in Muñoz, Cabanatuan, San Jose, Santo Domingo, Guimba, Cuyapo, Bongabon, and Cabiao, targeting individuals wanted for offenses ranging from slight physical injuries and reckless imprudence to estafa, threats, acts of lasciviousness, and theft.

In the fight against drug-related crimes, police in Lupao and Laur arrested two suspects and seized 0.93 grams of shabu, valued at PHP6,324. Meanwhile, in Muñoz City, a search operation in Barangay Poblacion North led to the discovery of a 9mm Uzi submachine gun, nine rounds of ammunition, and 1.4 grams of suspected shabu, with an estimated street value of PHP9,520.

Col. Ferdinand Germino, director of the Nueva Ecija Police Provincial Office, praised the ongoing efforts, stating that the ‘relentless anti-criminality drive of NEPPO continues to yield significant results.’ These operations underscore the police’s commitment to maintaining law and order in Nueva Ecija.
