In a swift response to a robbery at a convenience store in Hermosa, Bataan, law enforcement officials arrested two suspects on Thursday. The Police Regional Office 3 (PRO 3) announced on Friday that the individuals, known by the aliases ‘JR’ and ‘Gil’, were captured in Brgy. Saguing, Dinalupihan, shortly after the crime took place. The arrest was made possible due to evidence directly linking the duo to the robbery. Among the items seized from the suspects were PHP8,500 in cash, a pellet gun designed to mimic a .45 caliber firearm, two motorcycle helmets, a face cover, and a black/gray Suzuki Smash motorcycle believed to have been used in the heist. ‘JR’ faces additional charges under Republic Act 10591, the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act, as well as for breaching the election gun ban. The police are currently exploring the possibility of the suspects’ involvement in other criminal activities. PRO 3 is urging the community to remain alert and report any unusual behavior to help maintain peace and order in Central Luzon.
