DSWD Bicol Provides Relief to 38 Families Affected by Fires

In a compassionate response to recent fire incidents, the Department of Social Welfare and Development in Bicol (DSWD-5) has extended aid totaling PHP250,503 to 38 families across six provinces. The assistance, which included essential food and non-food items, was distributed to help alleviate the immediate hardships faced by those affected. DSWD-5 Director Norman Laurio highlighted that the relief efforts were part of the agency’s ongoing commitment to disaster response. The distribution covered four families in Masbate, twelve in Camarines Sur, four in Camarines Norte, three in Catanduanes, five in Sorsogon, and ten in Albay. The DSWD Bicol continues to work closely with local governments and other organizations to ensure comprehensive support for the affected families, emphasizing their dedication to timely and effective aid during emergencies.
