MANILA, Philippines – Various regions have announced the suspension of in-person classes on Tuesday, March 4, 2025, due to anticipated elevated heat index levels.
The heat index refers to the perceived temperature as a result of air temperature combined with humidity. Often referred to as the ‘feels-like’ temperature, it indicates how the body experiences the atmospheric conditions.
Below is a list of affected areas, which will be regularly updated in accordance with further announcements by local or national authorities.
Metro Manila
- City of Manila – All face-to-face classes (public and private) are suspended.
- Quezon City – Suspension of face-to-face classes from preschool to senior high school (public).
Calabarzon
- Cavite Province
- Bacoor City – No in-person classes for preschool to senior high school (public and private).
Central Luzon
- Bataan
- Abucay – Class suspension for all levels (public and private).
- Hermosa – Class suspension for all levels (public and private).
- Orani – Class suspension for all levels (public and private).
- Samal – Class suspension for all levels (public and private).
