CIMB Bank Philippines Climbs to 41st in Global Digital Banking Rankings for 2025

MANILA – CIMB Bank Philippines, a digital-only commercial bank, has achieved a notable 41st position in the World’s Top 100 Digital Banks 2025 ranking, as recognized by The Asian Banker. This prestigious ranking evaluates banks from 42 markets worldwide, focusing on key performance indicators such as customer engagement, market coverage, profitability, and growth in assets and deposits.

The Asian Banker, known for its strategic insights and community platforms within the financial sector, assessed the banks on their operational efficiency, funding capabilities, and the strength of their loan portfolios and balance sheets. CIMB Bank PH stood out as the top-ranked bank from the Philippines on this global list.

Vijay Manoharan, CEO of CIMB Bank PH, expressed pride in the bank’s achievements, noting its role in revolutionizing banking for Filipinos. ‘In just six years, we’ve transformed banking for the everyday Filipino, and being recognized among the world’s best banks is a testament to our commitment to serving our customers and making a real difference in their lives,’ he stated.

Manoharan also highlighted CIMB’s efforts in promoting financial and credit inclusion, having provided credit access to over 4 million Filipinos. With a customer base exceeding 9 million, CIMB Bank PH is on track to reach 10 million customers this year.

To further engage customers and boost digital transactions, CIMB Bank PH is currently running a promotion offering a 10% cashback on transactions made through the new CIMB Pay feature on their mobile app. This campaign, which runs until February 28, 2025, rewards customers for transactions of at least PHP500. CIMB Pay, powered by QR PH, enables fee-free transfers, merchant payments, and bill payments, enhancing the digital banking experience for users.
