In a significant law enforcement operation, Gerome Santiago, identified as Pampanga’s third most wanted individual, was apprehended by police in San Fernando City on Wednesday, February 19, 2025. The arrest took place around 12:30 p.m. at the Bulaon Resettlement in Barangay Bulaon, marking the end of Santiago’s nearly year-long evasion from justice.

Santiago, a resident of Barangay Lourdes in Candaba, had been a fugitive since April 28, 2024, following his alleged involvement in a robbery that resulted in the death of Lavina Gulapa. The Pampanga Regional Trial Court Branch 47 had issued a warrant for his arrest, charging him with robbery with homicide. No bail was recommended, and Santiago remains in police custody.

The operation was a collaborative effort by the police, and it was praised by PRO-3 Director Brig. Gen. Jean Fajardo. She emphasized the ongoing commitment to apprehending criminals in Central Luzon, stating, “There is no safe place for criminals in our region.” This arrest underscores the relentless pursuit of justice by law enforcement in Pampanga.
