Davao City Police Crack Down on Drug Trade, Arrest 22 in Major Operations

In a significant crackdown on illegal drug activities, the Davao City police have arrested 22 individuals and confiscated drugs valued at approximately PHP2 million. The operations, which spanned from Tuesday to Wednesday, were part of a broader initiative by the Police Regional Office in Davao (PRO-11), as announced on Thursday. Brig. Gen. Leon Victor Rosete, the director of PRO-11, detailed that the police efforts led to the seizure of 228.1 grams of shabu and 4,084.6 grams of dried marijuana leaves. Rosete reiterated the regional police’s dedication to eradicating the drug menace from the community. Additionally, from February 10 to 16, the police apprehended 79 wanted individuals, including some high-profile fugitives. Rosete affirmed the police’s ongoing commitment to capturing wanted persons and encouraged the public to assist by reporting any information about fugitives to the nearest police station or via the PRO-11 hotline.
