·

In a significant move to support local agriculture, the police in Agusan del Sur have donated a new storage and sorting facility to the 4Ps Farmers Sustainable Association in Bayugan City. The handover ceremony, which took place on February 18, 2025, was led by Brig. Gen. Christopher Abrahano, the director of PRO-13, alongside Col. Yahya Yusup, the director of the Agusan del Sur Police Provincial Office.

This facility, part of the Revitalized Pulis sa Barangay program, aims to enhance the capabilities of farmers in Barangay Calaitan by providing them with a space to sort and store their produce before it reaches the market. Brig. Gen. Abrahano emphasized the importance of such initiatives, stating, ‘Your livelihood may seem simple but it can transform lives.’ He encouraged the farmers to maintain and make the most out of the new facility.

The president of the association, Magellan Labor, expressed gratitude towards the police and the city government for their support, highlighting the critical role the facility will play in improving the efficiency and quality of their agricultural output. This project underscores the police’s commitment to extending government services to remote communities, fostering sustainable development and enhancing the livelihoods of local farmers.
