Special Investigation Team Launched to Solve Doctor’s Murder in Naga City

In response to the tragic murder of a female physician in Naga City, the local police have established a dedicated investigation unit. The victim, Dr. Rajean Monnette Romualdez, aged 36, from Metro Manila, was employed at the Bicol Medical Center. Her body was discovered with a gunshot wound inside a parked vehicle on Princeton Street, close to the Bureau of Internal Revenue office and her workplace on February 16.

Col. Erwin Rebellon, the Naga City Police director, announced the formation of the special team in a press release on Tuesday, emphasizing their commitment to a swift resolution of the case. The police are currently collecting crucial evidence, including CCTV recordings and testimonies from the doctor’s relatives and associates, to reconstruct the circumstances surrounding her death.

The investigation remains active, with efforts focused on identifying and apprehending a person of interest. Col. Rebellon assured the public that the police will not cease their efforts until the perpetrator is brought to justice.
