PDEA Nabs Five in Major Drug Bust in Bulacan, Seizes P47.6M Shabu

In a significant operation against drug trafficking, the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) successfully conducted a buy-bust operation in Malolos City, Bulacan, leading to the arrest of five individuals. The operation, which took place on the evening of February 15, 2025, in Barangay Tikay, resulted in the seizure of seven kilograms of shabu, valued at PHP47.6 million. The suspects, identified by their aliases as Joyce (46), Caloy (41), Christy (21), Russ (20), and Carl (19), were apprehended during the sting. The drugs were found cleverly concealed in brown-gold foil packs, marked with Chinese characters translating to ‘freeze-dried durian.’ This bust marks a significant blow to the drug trade in the region, showcasing the relentless efforts of PDEA in combating narcotics.
