In a move to honor the city’s significant milestone, Malacañang has officially designated March 24 as a special non-working holiday in Tabaco City, Albay. This declaration coincides with the city’s Charter Day and marks the 24th anniversary of its elevation to city status. The announcement was made through Proclamation 804, signed by Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin under the authority of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. on February 12. The proclamation emphasizes the importance of allowing the residents of Tabaco City to fully engage in and celebrate this occasion with appropriate festivities.
