MANILA – Emerald Ridao, Senior Undersecretary at the Presidential Communications Office (PCO), has been appointed as the Officer-in-Charge (OIC) of the PCO from February 17 to 21, 2025. This appointment comes as Acting Secretary Cesar Chavez takes a brief leave of absence. Chavez announced the temporary leadership change on Thursday, stating that Ridao would manage the PCO for one week. Despite being on leave, Chavez mentioned his intention to continue working at full capacity. According to a department order signed by Chavez on Wednesday, Ridao will oversee the daily operations of the PCO and act on behalf of the Acting Secretary if needed.
