Davao Region to Host Mega Job Fair for 4Ps Beneficiaries on February 15

·

The Department of Social Welfare and Development in Davao Region (DSWD-11), together with the Office of the President, is set to organize the ‘Trabaho sa Bagong Pilipinas Para sa 4Ps Caravan Mega Job Fair 2025’ on February 15 in Tagum City, Davao del Norte. This event is a collaborative effort with the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) and the Department of Agriculture (DA), aiming to offer job and livelihood opportunities to 3,000 beneficiaries of the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) who are transitioning out of the program.

DSWD-11 stated that the reasons for exiting the 4Ps include natural attrition, absence of monitored children, completion of the program’s seven-year term, improved well-being, or voluntary withdrawal. The initiative is designed to help these beneficiaries maintain their progress after leaving the 4Ps.

DOLE-11 has secured participation from various employers and partner companies, who will offer 887 job vacancies to eligible applicants. Additionally, a one-stop shop will be established, where different government agencies will provide essential services. The Department of Agriculture will also participate by showcasing agricultural products through the Kadiwa ng Pangulo initiative.

DSWD-11 emphasized that this effort is part of the government’s broader strategy to reduce poverty in the long term, by equipping Filipino families with the necessary tools to achieve financial independence beyond the 4Ps program. The job fair highlights the government’s dedication to empowering 4Ps beneficiaries, promoting sustainable livelihoods, and guiding them towards self-sufficiency.
