DHSUD Encourages Low-Income Families to Enroll in 4PH Housing Program

·

The Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development (DHSUD) has issued a call to action for low-income Filipinos to join the Pambansang Pabahay Para sa Pilipino Housing (4PH) program. In a recent interview on Bagong Pilipinas Ngayon, DHSUD Secretary Jose Rizalino Acuzar announced that construction of 4PH units is underway across the Philippines following extensive planning over the past two to three years. He highlighted ongoing projects in Pampanga, Nueva Ecija, and Bacolod, with future developments planned for Quezon City, Caloocan, and other regions nationwide.

Currently, 56 projects are at various stages of development and construction under the 4PH initiative. In Nueva Ecija, the first units at the Palayan City Township Development were handed over to overseas Filipino workers by President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. and First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos in December 2024. Similarly, Bacolod City has begun distributing units at the Asenso Yuhum Residences.

Secretary Acuzar urged interested individuals and families to visit their local government units and DHSUD offices to register for the program. He emphasized the importance of documentation, which will be used to facilitate transactions with banks and Pag-Ibig, ensuring priority for those with complete paperwork. This documentation will also be used to pay contractors.

The 4PH program also extends an invitation to informal settler families to apply as beneficiaries. Although the government has reduced its target from six million to three million units, Acuzar assured that all plans are in place and participants will be included in the national housing list during the Marcos administration.
