On Monday, February 10, 2025, a second contingent of 19 seasonal workers from Dinagat Islands set off for Hungary. This follows the initial group of 26 workers who departed on January 31, as announced by Governor Nilo Demerey Jr. on Tuesday. The workers are part of the Seasonal Workers Program (SWP), facilitated by the Dinagat Islands Migrant Workers Office, which aims to provide overseas employment opportunities for local residents. Many of these workers had previously attended a jobs fair in 2024. Their contracts in Hungary are set for two years, with the possibility of a one-year extension.
