The Public-Private Partnership (PPP) Center in Manila has announced a robust pipeline of 176 projects, totaling PHP2.47 trillion as of February 10. These initiatives are set to foster collaboration between the government and private entities. The breakdown of these projects indicates that 112 are slated for national implementation, with the other 64 to be managed by local government units (LGUs). This updated figure marks an increase from the 172 projects reported on December 4, 2024, although the total estimated cost has seen a slight decrease from PHP2.55 trillion. The PPP Center explained that the fluctuation in the number of projects results from both the addition of new initiatives and the removal of others from the pipeline. Notable additions to the list include the Manila Central Post Office, Manolo Fortich Septage and Sewage Treatment Facility, and the Baguio Water Supply Project, among others. Conversely, projects such as the Comprehensive Digital Housing Platform and the Metro Rail Transit System Line 3 Rehabilitation have been delisted. Additionally, the New Bohol (Panglao) International Airport project and the Operations and Maintenance of Pampanga Dialysis Centers have been moved to the implementation phase after being awarded.
