In a significant crackdown on illegal drugs, the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) successfully executed a buy-bust operation in Caloocan City, leading to the arrest of four individuals and the seizure of shabu valued at P34 million. The operation took place on Abel Street in the Kingstown 2 area on the evening of February 10, 2025. The apprehended suspects, identified by their aliases Al (39), Sammy (22), Amy (19), and Ferds (18), were caught with five kilograms of shabu packaged in yellow-gold foil labeled ‘Guanyinwang’. Alongside the drugs, PDEA agents also confiscated cellular phones, a vehicle, the money used in the sting operation, and various identification cards. The suspects are set to face charges under Republic Act 9165, the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, at the Caloocan City Prosecutor’s Office.
