·

In Cotabato City, the Commission on Elections (Comelec) has launched a campaign to enforce election regulations by ordering the removal of campaign posters placed in unauthorized locations. This initiative, dubbed ‘Operation Baklas,’ began on February 11, 2025, targeting materials from national, local, and party-list candidates that are displayed outside designated areas. Acting city election officer Dindo Maglasang emphasized the need for compliance with Comelec Resolution 11086, which strictly prohibits the placement of campaign materials in public spaces, on trees, streetlamps, electric posts, and private properties without permission. The operation aims to maintain fairness and order during the election period, ensuring that all candidates adhere to the set guidelines.
