GSIS Launches Digital Business Center in General Santos to Enhance Service Efficiency

·

The Government Service Insurance System (GSIS) has unveiled its new Digital Business Center (DBC) in General Santos City, aiming to provide a more efficient and queue-free service to its members and pensioners. The center, which opened its doors on Tuesday, is outfitted with tablets loaded with the GSIS Mobile Touch App, enabling over 46,000 active members and 11,000 pensioners from General Santos, Sultan Kudarat, South Cotabato, and Sarangani to perform transactions smoothly from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.

GSIS President and General Manager Arnulfo Veloso emphasized that the DBC revolutionizes the way services are delivered to members. He noted that the facility allows members to bypass long lines and efficiently manage their accounts and transactions using the provided tablets. The center is designed to expedite services such as loan applications, balance inquiries, record viewing, and other transactions that typically require in-person counter service.

Veloso also mentioned that the DBC is staffed with trained GSIS personnel who assist members in navigating the digital platform. The center currently serves 334 government agencies in the region, significantly enhancing accessibility and efficiency for GSIS members.

Veloso expressed that this initiative underscores GSIS’s dedication to minimizing wait times and enhancing the overall member experience, making services more accessible with each touch. The inauguration of the GSIS Digital Business Center was attended by Veloso, General Santos City Mayor Lorelie Pacquiao, and Councilor Lourdes Casabuena.
