In a significant law enforcement operation, police in Bulacan raided a residence in Barangay Sumandig, San Ildefonso, on Monday afternoon, February 3, 2025. The raid led to the discovery of several illegal firearms and dried marijuana leaves, culminating in the arrest of a 47-year-old man known only as ‘Ed.’ The operation was carried out following the execution of a search warrant, as confirmed by Col. Satur Ediong, the director of the Bulacan Police Provincial Office. Among the items seized were a pistol with a laser sight, two converted rifles equipped with scopes, various magazines, and a large quantity of ammunition. Additionally, a fragmentation grenade was found, underscoring the potential danger posed by the suspect. The police also uncovered drug-related items, including a weighing scale and paraphernalia, further implicating ‘Ed’ in illegal drug activities. Gen. Jean Fajardo, the Regional Director of Police Regional Office-3, praised the Bulacan police for their effective operation, emphasizing the region’s commitment to eradicating lawlessness. ‘Ed’ now faces multiple charges for illegal possession of firearms, explosives, and drugs.
