In a significant law enforcement operation, police in Bulacan raided a residence in Barangay Sumandig, San Ildefonso, uncovering a stash of illegal firearms and marijuana. The raid, executed on Monday afternoon, February 3, 2025, led to the arrest of a 47-year-old man known only as ‘Ed.’ The operation was carried out under a search warrant, resulting in the discovery of various illegal weapons, including a pistol with a laser sight, two converted rifles equipped with scopes, and a large quantity of ammunition. Additionally, a fragmentation grenade was found, escalating concerns about the suspect’s dangerous potential. Alongside the weapons, police seized dried marijuana leaves, a weighing scale, and other drug-related items, pointing to the suspect’s involvement in illegal drug activities. Col. Satur Ediong, director of the Bulacan Police Provincial Office, praised the operation’s success. Gen. Jean Fajardo, Regional Director of Police Regional Office-3, also commended the effort, emphasizing the ongoing commitment to combat lawlessness in Central Luzon. The suspect now faces multiple charges for illegal possession of firearms, explosives, and drugs.
