Mimaropa Police Seize PHP101.6 Million in Illegal Drugs, Arrest 475 in 2024

In 2024, the Police Regional Office (PRO) 4B in Mimaropa successfully confiscated over 15.39 kg of illegal drugs valued at PHP101.6 million. This significant seizure was the result of 402 operations, leading to the apprehension of 475 suspects, as announced by PRO4B chief Brig. Gen. Roger Quesada on Friday. The previous year, 2023, saw a smaller haul with 3.04 kg of drugs worth PHP8.57 million seized in 339 operations. Moving into 2025, the first 29 days saw 31 operations that resulted in the arrest of 35 suspects and the seizure of nearly PHP1 million worth of shabu. Brig. Gen. Quesada praised the relentless efforts of his team and their collaboration with other Philippine National Police units, emphasizing their commitment to community safety. He also highlighted ongoing improvements in enforcement strategies, community involvement, and the use of advanced technology to enhance their anti-drug efforts. The Mimaropa region includes the provinces of Oriental and Occidental Mindoro, Marinduque, Romblon, and Palawan.
