In a series of targeted operations spanning January 29 to 30, law enforcement officers in Davao City successfully apprehended six suspects and confiscated illegal drugs valued at around PHP1.6 million. The Police Regional Office-11 (PRO-11) announced the results of these operations, which included the seizure of 237.2 grams of shabu, a potent form of methamphetamine. Brig. Gen. Leon Victor Rosete, the director of PRO-11, highlighted the effectiveness of these operations in a recent social media update. Rosete stressed that the approach to tackling the drug problem involves a comprehensive strategy that not only focuses on stringent law enforcement but also emphasizes community involvement. This strategy aligns with the directives from the Philippine National Police (PNP) Chief Gen. Rommel Francisco Marbil. Rosete expressed his appreciation for the dedication of the PRO-11 team and their collaborative efforts with other agencies and the community to foster safer neighborhoods and work towards a drug-free society.
