Philippine Airlines to Restart Beijing Flights on March 30

·

Philippine Airlines (PAL) is set to recommence its flights to Beijing starting March 30, operating out of the Ninoy Aquino International Airport in Manila. The airline will offer three direct flights per week to the Chinese capital. According to PAL president Stanley Ng, the resumption of the Manila-Beijing route is expected to enhance tourism, boost trade, and foster stronger relations between the people of the Philippines and China. Ng also highlighted that this move is part of PAL’s efforts to fortify air connectivity with mainland China. The airline had previously halted its Beijing services in October 2024 due to insufficient demand. With the service’s revival, PAL will boast the most extensive network linking the Philippines with mainland China. In addition to Beijing, PAL also operates flights from Manila to Shanghai, Xiamen, and Quanzhou. The flights between Manila and Beijing will be serviced by Airbus A321 aircraft, accommodating between 168 and 199 passengers. The schedule includes departures from Manila at 6:55 a.m. on Tuesdays, Fridays, and Sundays, with return flights from Beijing at 12:55 p.m.
