Marcos Joins Al Isra Wal Mi’raj Celebration, Urges Unity and Resilience

President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. participated in the commemoration of Al Isra Wal Mi’raj on Sunday, expressing his desire for the event to foster unity and resilience across the nation. The celebration, which honors the Night Journey and Ascension of Prophet Muhammad, holds profound spiritual significance for Muslims, serving as a period for deep reflection.

In his address, Marcos highlighted the spiritual essence of the occasion, urging Muslims to embody the principles of perseverance, sacrifice, and faith. He stated, ‘As you honor this miraculous event with prayers and devotion, let it motivate the Muslim community to uphold perseverance amidst challenges and sorrow.’

Marcos further emphasized that the observance should remind everyone that success stems from hard work and unity, and that through sacrifice, persistence, and faith, the nation can move towards a common goal of creating a peaceful and prosperous society for all.

He noted that Al Isra Wal Mi’raj represents the unwavering faith and spiritual strength of Muslims in their devotion to Allah, the All-Hearing and All-Seeing. This event is one of the most sacred in Islam, commemorating the miraculous journey of Prophet Muhammad to the heavens, seen as a testament to his faith and a divine gift from Allah.

It is during this journey that Prophet Muhammad is believed to have received crucial divine revelations, marking one of the most significant miracles in Islam, second only to the Qur’an.
