Cloudy Skies and Rain Forecast Across the Philippines Due to Easterlies and Amihan

·

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) announced on Sunday that the combined effects of easterlies and the northeast monsoon, known locally as ‘amihan,’ will result in cloudy conditions with rain throughout the Philippines. According to the 4 a.m. weather bulletin, regions such as Caraga, Davao Region, Basilan, Sulu, and Tawi-Tawi are expected to experience cloudy skies accompanied by scattered rains and thunderstorms, influenced by the easterlies. Meanwhile, Metro Manila and the broader Luzon area will continue to feel the chill of the northeast monsoon, with partly cloudy to cloudy skies and occasional light showers. The rest of the nation can anticipate partly cloudy to cloudy conditions with isolated rain showers and thunderstorms, also due to the easterlies. In northern and central Luzon, moderate to strong northeast winds will prevail, leading to moderate conditions in coastal waters. Temperatures across the country are expected to fluctuate between 22.2 °C and 31.6 °C.
