MANILA – The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) is gearing up to host a significant job fair at the SMX Convention Center in Pasay City on January 28 and 29. This event, the fourth in the series of Project DAPAT (DOLE Action Plan and Transition) Job Fairs, will feature close to 5,000 job vacancies. The fair is specifically designed to aid workers displaced from the Internet Gaming Licensees (IGL) sector by linking them with potential employers in various industries throughout Metro Manila. A total of 126 local companies and six international firms have confirmed their participation, covering sectors such as finance, shipping and logistics, food and beverage, retail, and business process outsourcing. To streamline the job application process, DOLE-National Capital Region will set up a one-stop-shop at the venue, where agencies like the Social Security System, Philippine Health Insurance Corporation, Pag-IBIG Fund, National Bureau of Investigation, Technical Education and Skills Development Authority, and Philippine Statistics Authority will be present. Job seekers are advised to come prepared with multiple copies of their resumes and other essential documents. For a quicker application process, pre-registration is available through the official JobStreet Facebook page or via a QR code. This job fair is part of DOLE’s efforts to fulfill President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.’s directive to assist workers affected by the ban on IGLs, previously known as Philippine Offshore Gaming Operators. The event is being organized by JobStreet by SEEK PH in collaboration with DOLE Metro Manila, Makati and Pasay field offices, and the Pasay City’s Public Employment Service Office.
