3,942 New Lawyers Sworn In at Supreme Court Ceremony

MANILA – On Friday, the Supreme Court conducted an oath-taking ceremony for the successful Bar examinees at the SMX Convention Center in Pasay City. Out of the 3,962 individuals who passed the recent Bar examinations, 3,942 were present to take the oath. Associate Justice Amy Lazaro-Javier, who will chair the 2025 Bar Examinations, addressed the new lawyers, urging them to build their careers on the principles of humility, honor, and humanity. She emphasized that the essence of a person should define their title, not vice versa, and encouraged the young lawyers to prioritize their humanity over their professional status. Lazaro-Javier highlighted the importance of kindness and respect towards all, regardless of their position, and advised the new lawyers to remain resilient in the face of challenges. She concluded her speech by reminding them that the impact they have on others is lasting, and encouraged them to lead lives marked by humility, honor, and humanity. The 2024 Bar Examinations saw a total of 10,480 participants.
